Month-end self assessment of my blogging efforts on WriteBlogging.com

By

I believe it is very important to self assess recent past in order to gather hope for an immediate future.

This is a small blog entry about what was my focus in the last month, what did I achieve and based on the experiences, what is going to guide my next course of action.

Self-assessment, if done honestly, can be the best critical review. Evaluating your own performance increases self-awareness, and contributes to independent learning. It amplifies the scope for performance improvement, and eliminates mistakes from happening ever again, and possibly helps the readers as well.

I will try to self assess my blogging activities every month, at least that’s what I think presently.

Tasks executed

  • No. of post published – 6
  • No. of words written – 7442
  • No. of blogging days – 6
  • Categories Covered – Content writing, link building, how to, social media, content writing, formatting, blogging etc.

Other activities – Link building on related blogs and social media account uplifts

Results –

  • Views – Nil
  • Engagement –  Nil
  • Organic traffic – Nil

Wait. Here’re some insights pulled from Google analytics –

All the spikes are encouraging for a 17 days old blog, but hey, they all are my own views ๐Ÿ™‚ Notice the decline in number after I installed Google analytics opt out add on for Chrome.

Plans for the future –

Notice the spike in September. Did it continue to grow or tumble down? Are they again my own views or my recently created blog has gripped some ground? More on this in the September month’s self assessment!

I will stay focused on this blog, hopefully giving more time for better outcomes.  I am planning to write 1 blog everyday covering topics from SEO to content writing and blogging.

While long form content is favored by Google, creating such content consumes a lot ย of effort, and I hardly get enough time for other activities like consulting. So I am thinking to reduce the word count while accommodating more facts.

I think my readers are here to find answers, not to read books! ๐Ÿ™‚

That’s it for now. A small and short tail self assessment to keep me on my blogging goals. Thanks for reading!
